On Saturday, May 8, 2010 the Chester Youth Collaborative Youth Council will be hosting the “Flip the Script, Stop the Violence” 2010 Chester Youth Empowerment Summit at Widener University, University Center from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The summit is a one day event led by the Chester Youth Collaborative Youth Council, d esigned to promote healthy lifestyles and a message of anti-violence while empowering youth to become positive catalyst for change in their homes, schools and communities. This is accomplished through the array of educational workshops and circle learning forums offered during the event. This year's summit is made possible through funding and support from Widener's Center for Violence Prevention, the William Penn Foundation, the Office of the Delaware County District Attorney G. Michael Greene, First Hospital Foundation, Drug Free Communities, Chester Weed & Seed, East Gateway Triangle, United Way of Southeastern Delaware County, United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, and Crozer-Keystone Health System.

This event is FREE and open to youth ages 12-22, parents and youth service provider!!!!
